About

Located in Melbourne’s south-east, Mentone Hockey Club is home to a strong and welcoming community of nearly 500 members.

The club was formed in 1993 through the merger of Mordialloc Women’s Hockey Club (Est. 1957) and Old Mentonians Hockey Club (Est. 1976). This shared history underpins a culture built on inclusion, participation and pride in the game.

Mentone Hockey Club is based at Mentone Grammar School’s Keysborough Playing Fields, featuring a modern hybrid synthetic pitch with player dugouts, an electronic scoreboard and a technical officials’ bench, providing a high-quality match-day and training environment.

The club fields more than 30 teams across all ages and abilities, from Minkey programs through to Masters. Our Hook-in2-Hockey program introduces junior players to the sport through strong links with local schools and the community.

Mentone Hockey Club is committed to sustainable growth, creating clear pathways for participation and progression, including opportunities at Premier League level.

WOMEN'S

Mentone Hockey Club is proud to support a strong and inclusive women’s section.

Catering for all ages and skill levels, we welcome players from interstate or overseas, experienced players transferring from other clubs, and those new to the game. Our women’s program combines a welcoming, supportive culture with opportunities to compete at a high level.

We aim to balance performance-focused hockey with individual, team and club development, ensuring players feel challenged, supported and connected.

A strong social culture sits alongside our on-field success, with regular events held throughout the year. These include home game day barbecues, themed training sessions, preseason camps, trivia nights, cocktail evenings and our annual presentation night.

The club fields women’s teams across Premier League, Pennant and Metro competitions, providing clear pathways for both participation and high-performance hockey.
